subdivide shell

you have subdivide all and subdivide shell which shows > subdivide sel
is sel subdivide selected?
if so it does not work it subdivide all.
both button do the same thing.

plus it does not even work on faces which it should

Subdivide Shell subdivides only the shells the selected geometry belongs to.

i think your missing the point, you have subdivide sel and sel means selected
you can not subdivide points, because in topogun you have to select a vert to subdivide.

if i have 1 quad select and i select subdivide sel then only that 1 face should be subdivided,
the selected face is used to subdivide not verts.

you still can use verts like you have to subd the shells,
but you have no option to select 1 or more faces

Subdivide Shell means Subdivide Selected Shell. You can only subdivide geometry shells, not individual component selections. Subdivide Shell subdivides the shell the selected components belong to.
